High heights Aqua Cutter "HV" models can work more than the standard 6m working height with a support to the tower. This is the Steam Generators Replacement Project of the C.N. Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant The height of the opening to allow movement of the Steam Generators is 8,2 meters. On this job the Aqua Cutter´s 6m standard tower is topped with an additional 5.5m tower element to reach a maximum height of 11.5m. The robot tower is set to match the 10° inclination of the tunnel wall using a special support. The robots hydraulic pressure remains constant throughout operations on the 11.5m tower.
